During the latest edition of B17 Talk x Forbes, held at Tero House 17, the event focused on “Fusion & Transformation: The Human Challenges at the Heart of DEEP’s Creation.”
In a warm and inviting atmosphere, around a hundred guests gathered to explore the behind-the-scenes journey of a major transformation: the birth of DEEP. This ambitious merger brings together four key market players: Digora Luxembourg, Elgon, EBRC, and the B2B activities of POST Telecom.
On stage, Ludovic Gilles, Director of DEEP, Charles Brodt, Director at Nova Reperta, and Isabelle Faber, Director of Human Resources, Public Relations & CSR at POST Luxembourg, enthusiastically shared their insights into this transformation.
“We needed to simplify life for our customers,” explained Ludovic Gilles. “By bringing together 750 employees into a single entity, we are creating a one-stop shop for all their telecom, ICT, cloud, and cybersecurity needs.”
“This adventure has been intense and deeply human, filled with powerful moments […¨]”
Isabelle Faber highlighted that this merger aligns with POST’s ambitious 2023-2027 strategy, which aims to position Luxembourg as a key technological hub. “People are at the heart of this transformation,” she emphasized, stressing the importance of CSR commitments and the environmental transition.
Faced with the monumental challenge of merging four companies into one, POST enlisted the support of the consulting firm Nova Reperta. Charles Brodt, who oversaw the integration, underlined the importance of transparency: “It was essential to communicate quickly and clearly with employees. We even trained internal ambassadors to support their colleagues on a daily basis.”
The official launch, set for July 2024, will mark the creation of a virtual organization, paving the way for the legal integration to follow. Ludovic Gilles described the project as a successful challenge, expressing surprise at “how quickly teams embraced DEEP.”
Yet beyond numbers and strategies, emotions took center stage. “This adventure has been intense and deeply human, filled with powerful moments, laughter, and at times, concerns,” concluded Isabelle Faber. A testament, if ever one was needed, that even in the digital world, it is ultimately people who shape the future.
